Lunar years are about 11 days shorter, so you are a little older in the Islamic calendar.
Hijri dates follow the Umm al-Qura calendar. In Pakistan, India and Bangladesh the local date is usually one day behind; use the switch above to see those dates.
How age is calculated
Age is counted in completed years since your date of birth. After the years, the calculator counts full months since your last birthday, then the days left over. That is the same method used on official forms.

Frequently asked questions
How do I calculate my exact age?
Enter your date of birth. The calculator counts full years, then the months since your last birthday, then the remaining days, and shows your age in total days, weeks and months too.
What is my age in the Hijri (Islamic) calendar?
Because a Hijri year is about 11 days shorter than a Gregorian year, your Hijri age is a little higher. A 30-year-old is about 30 years and 11 months in Hijri years. The calculator shows both.
How is a February 29 birthday counted?
If you were born on February 29, your birthday is counted on February 28 in years that are not leap years.
Can I calculate age on a date other than today?
Yes. Change the "Age on" date to see how old someone was or will be on any date, for example for a form, visa or school admission cut-off.
